Barney Bush

Barney Bush (Shawnee) (b. August 27, 1947, Illinois) obtained his B.A. from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado in 1972. His M. A. was obtained from the University of Idaho in 1980. He helped to establish the Institute of the Southern Plains, a Cheyenne Indian School in Hammon, Oklahoma. He performs and records his own music, and has taught creative writing at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
